Northwest Prospects feels that unpatented gold mining claim ownership should be made affordable for all, and not just to those who can afford to make the entire payment all at one time. Our financing terms and our payment plan is free of interest. Furthermore, we're so confident in our properties that we are willing to allow you to prospect on the property while you are making your payments. There are two ways in which an unpatented mining claim can be purchased from Northwest Prospects. Buyers may choose to pay the entire price outright, or they have the option to submit a down payment and enter into an interest-free financing plan. Our financing plans consists of a monthly payment due on the 15th of every month which continues until the balance is paid in full. We add the required annual BLM Maintenance Fee ($140 each September) and the state taxes (if applicable) to your account as they are applied by state and federal regulations each year. There are no other charges, processing fees, and never any interest applied to your purchase plan. Those choosing to enter into a financing agreement are bound to the monthly payment contract, which they will sign and return prior to contract commencement. Prospecting upon the claim may begin when we receive the signed contract and after the down payment has cleared our financial institution. Prospecting can continue as long as the account remains current in payment status. |
Properties that are under $10,000 require a 10% down payment and can be financed for up to 36 months.
Properties that are over $10,000 require a 10% down payment and can be financed for up to 60 months.

You will receive a package about your new claim once we have received your signed contract and down payment. This package will contain detailed maps, GPS coordinates, and directions to your claim. It will also include some helpful information about the surrounding area to help you coordinate your prospecting adventures. Monthly account statements will be delivered to you via USPS mail or email, the choice is yours. Your monthly statement will include your entire account history and all transactions. We do not charge any financing fees or apply interest, and there is no fee applied if you pay off your claim early. Once we receive your final payment, we will take the below steps: 1. You will be sent a preliminary change of ownership report (PCOOR) form. This allows us to legally transfer the deed of the claim from our name into yours (or the names you provide). 2. Upon receipt of this form back from you, we will send the deed to the County Recorder's Office so they can record the transfer of ownership. 3. The County Recorder's Office will record the Deed, apply the County stamp to it, and return it to us. 4. Once we receive it back from the County, we will make a copy of the new deed and deliver that copy to BLM so that they can record the transfer as well. 5. At that same time, we will mail the original Deed back to you, along with your maps and annual BLM maintenance information/forms. This deed needs to be kept in a safe place! 6. This process normally takes about 30-45 days to complete from start to finish, based on how long the County Recorder's Office takes to process the deed. 7. Once you own the claim outright, we are here to assist you with any questions you may have concerning the annual filing requirements with BLM and the County. Keeping your claim in legal status is critical in order to maintain the mineral rights, and we want to make sure you understand this process. Don't worry, it's fairly easy and becomes second nature after the first time. In most cases, the sellers of unpatented gold mining claims require immediate payment in full. Unfortunately, this discourages hard working people from realizing their dream of personal claim ownership simply because they can't afford the price all at once.
